My role as an artist can best be described as part sculptor, part engineer, and part choreographer.

The work primarily features the animation of text and objects to represent a situation or an observation. Inspirations also come from simple movements often found in nature, such as the rhythmic flapping of a bird's wings to the hypnotic swaying of a cat's tail.

While my process of creating a piece requires the same decision making as with any sculptor, the kinetic aspects of the work combine, much like dance, moments of high activity, slower activity and rest.
